Here is a collection of some of my Northern Gannet images taken along the Yorkshire Coast.
I am lucky to have the internationally important seabird colony at Bempton Cliffs on my doorstep. The seabird colony is home to over 400,000 seabirds from March to September. This is a very exciting place for wildlife photography, with many great opportunities to capture all the species close up, from the birds on the cliff-face to those in flight.

Here is a collection of Puffin images taken at numerous seabird colonies around the UK over the past few years. Puffins are one of my favourite birds to photograph from flying as fast as a rocket to peeping out of their burrows they always put a smile on my face.

Here is a collection of my latest Kingfisher images taken from our specially designed hide. The hide offers a great opportunity of capturing incredible images of one of the UK's iconic birds. Normally heard and then seen as a blue flash along a river, here you can get up close and personal with this beautiful bird.

Here is a collection of images all taken from my vehicle on my Moorland Birds Photography Workshops in the North York Moors National Park.
Beautiful heather moorland lies at the very heart of the North York Moors National Park. As the seasons change, this stunning landscape reveals a quiet drama all its own. Early summer is characterised by the calls of moorland birds, and, as the evenings draw in, a purple carpet of flowering heather stretches for miles across the open vistas.
Key Species: Red Grouse, Golden Plover, Curlew, Lapwing, Snipe, Whinchat, Stonechat, Ring Ouzel, Wheatear, Meadow Pipit and Merlin.
The best time to visit the North Yorkshire Moors National Park is from April to the end of August. April to June comprise the prime breeding season for all moorland birds and the sounds of the varied species we will encounter can be heard for many miles across the moors.

Here is a collection of some of my latest Grey Seal images taken on the Yorkshire Coast.
Grey Seals come ashore and can be seen along the Yorkshire Coast giving birth to their pups in November and December. Around half of the world’s grey seals live in UK waters, and many are found breeding on the North York Moors National Park coastline every winter. It may seem odd to be breeding in the harsh conditions at this time of year, but the cow seals are in an excellent condition after a rich summer's feedings. The pups will be weaned on fat-rich milk for a month by their mothers before heading out to sea with the colony.
Here is a collection of some of my Deer images. From our mighty Red Deer the largest UK mammal to Fallow, Sika and Roe Deer these British mammals are always a delight to watch and photography.
In this portfolio you will find a collection of coastal birds images mainly photographed through Autumn/Winter along the stunning Yorkshire Coast. From divers, grebes, ducks and waders the Yorkshire Coast is a strong hold for these species and can provide some exceptional photographic opportunities.
I will be delivering photography workshops to capture images of our coastal birds through the Winter months. To book a place on a workshop through my parent company 'Yorkshire Coast Nature' please click here...
